1982-85  Founding Editor, Vanessa and Iris: A Journal for Young Feminists, Brookline, MA.

1982-83  Volunteer, Cambridge Women’s Center, Cambridge, MA.

1982-84  Active Member, WAVAW (Women Against Violence Against Women), Cambridge, MA. Activities included educational events and protest campaigns.

1984-85  Organizing Member, Not In Our Name, a feminist protest against corporate violence against women. Activities included civil disobedience at the New York Stock Exchange.

1984-86  Founding Member of Minor Disturbance, protest group against militarism from a feminist perspective. Activities included numerous educational events, direct actions, and four arrests at: Westover Air Force Base in Chicopee, Ma.; Federal Building in Springfield, Ma.; Greenham Common Women’s Peace Camp in Newbury, England; and Seneca Falls Women’s Encampment for A Future of Peace and Justice, Romulus, NY.

1986-1994  Founding Member of Feminists Against Pornography, Northampton, MA. Activities included educational events, protest actions and numerous acts of civil disobedience. I developed our slideshow, Pornography and Woman-Hating, and presented it across the country at college campuses, battered women’s shelters and community forums, and trained many other women to present it.

1992  Author, Conditions of War, Fighting Words Press.

1994-Present  Founding Member of RadLesFes (The Radical-Feminist Lesbian Festival), a yearly gathering to encourage radical feminist politics and celebrate dyke culture.

1995, Author, Skyler Gabriel, Fighting Words Press.

1998-2002  Founding Editor, Rain and Thunder: A Radical Feminist Journal of Discussion and Activism.

1999-2000  Frances Perkins Scholar, Mount Holyoke College, South Hadley, Ma.

2006-Present  Member, National Feminist Antipornography Movement (name change pending).  Activities to date include March 2007 conference Pornography and Pop Culture and our first slideshow training this past June.
